Florida Growler Law Finally Comes to Pass

On Wednesday of this week, craft brewers and local beer enthusiasts alike will enjoy the lawful sale of 64 ounce beer jugs commonly referred to as “growlers.” This change comes about after Governor Rick Scott signed Senate Bill 186 into law on May 14, 2015. Once of the provisions within this new law is designed to protect small and local brewers from a large number of “malt beverage tastings”. These events may be set up by large beer distributers and manufacturers for the purpose of promoting national brands. For a full copy of Senate Bill 186 follow this link: Senate Bill 186.
